A relaxing soak in the tub is one of the best ways to pamper yourself. Take your soaking time to the next level by lighting candles and setting the mood with relaxing music. Bubble bath and scented oil can make your simple soak luxurious.


Savor a Nice Dinner

Why not treat yourself to a scrumptious meal? Splurge a bit on ingredients for a new recipe and make yourself a gourmet feast. Cooking is a great way to get your mind off of worry and into creative work. When you sit down to eat, savor each bite, appreciating the time you took to make the meal and to enjoy the new flavors you are experiencing. Including your favorite wine or champagne with the meal adds an extra level of indulgence.


Take Yourself on an Adventure

If sitting still isn’t your thing, then take the opportunity to explore your neighborhood or city’s new sites. This might just be the perfect way to invest in yourself. Being read to allows you to immerse yourself in the story and gives your body the chance to relax- you don’t have to hold the book or read the words!

It is okay to indulge yourself every now and then. Gather together all of your favorite things (food, drinks, music, movies) and make a night of it! Blast your favorite music and sing along. Watch your favorite movie while eating all of your favorite snacks. Making yourself feel special for the night might make tomorrow a bit brighter.

If you are feeling overworked or stressed out, going to bed early in a freshly made bed can soothe your worries. Aromatherapy can also support a good night’s sleep. Consider spritzing your sheets with lavender spray. There is some evidence to suggest that lavender can serve as an effective sleep aid as well as lower blood pressure and heart rate.
